In optometry, we often take images of eyes, front and back, to keep a record of how the various structures look, and also to look for problems that may affect vision.

At Brighton we have a Haag Street imaging system that takes pictures of the cornea, the lens and can even take short movies if necessary.

it is an integral part of the slit lamp microscope, which you can see in the picture.

We can image cataracts, scars, and inflammation, among other things. The images are digital, so we can see them instantly and send them to specialists as part of a referral if required.
